Today on the 'Live Desk,' Dr. Siegel will answer some viewer questions about H1N1.
We want to know:
What questions do you have about the H1N1 vaccine?
Write in what concerns you most and you might be addressed LIVE, ON-AIR by the doctor!
This is about the shots on H1N1 does this mean that someone that has ashma that works for the health care can still get fired if they refuse the shot.

Does the H1N1 vaccine contain flomaldhyde?
I live in Corona, Ca…On July 7th,2009 I had flu-like symptoms & was diagnosed with probable pneumonia. I had a chest x-ray scheduled for the following day to verify the diagnosis, but never made it because I ended up being rushed to the hospital in respiratory failure. I spent 10 days in the hospital, 5 of those days in ICU on a respirator. While I was in the hospital, I was never tested for H1N1.
Since I’ve been home, Ive researched the H1N1 symptoms & found that I had all of them, except the vomiting. I want to know if you can tell me if there’s any way I can find out if I did, in fact, have the H1N1 virus or not?
Thank you,
Joy
How many deaths have there been because of the H1N1?
Is it mandatory for all “School-Aged” children to take this swine flu?
I think if you adress the questions some of us have concerning this vaccine truefully in stead of ignoring these most people wouldn’t have a differant attitude. Was this vaccine made from aborted fetal tissue? As a health care worker I don’t want to be forced to take anything unless the ingrediants have been fully disclosed to me which has been difficult to find. What happened to the right to know act in this counrty???
I’m pregnant and want to know if there’s any risk in getting the swine flu vaccine and may it be harmful to my unborn baby? Is there any ingredient in the vaccine that poses a possible risk to the baby either while pregnant or after birth? Are there any the long-term effects to the baby with getting a vaccine so new. What would happen if I didn’t get the swine flu shot and got the infection what risks does that pose to my unborn baby? Could they still treat me that same even though I’m pregnant?
CAN YOU HAVE THE H1N1 FLU MORE THAN ONCE?
On sundays Fox health segment. Dr Rosenfeld said that the tetnus vacine was the best defense against rabies. is this correct or was he inartfully speaking ( works for the president)
I was listening to Dr. Rosenfeld this morning 10/11/09 about “pre-biotics” not sure on the spelling. He mentioned asking your pharmacy. I am very interested in this because my husband had rectal cancer and ever since he’s had diarrhea or soft marble like stools. His doctor recommended imodium but this does not stop the diarrhea. My husband is starving to death and I need some help with some answers on how to stop the diarrhea. He cannot eat vegetable, fruit, wheat products, sugar. The only thing he tolerates is white bread, white pasta, white rice and these are not good for you. I called our pharmacy at Wal Mart and they never heard of the “pre” biotics but “pro” could you please tell me where I can get these and either email me back or I will watch you on Sunday but I would like to know before then if its not too much to ask. I know you are very busy. Thanks so much. Lois

My 18-month old daughter had H1N1 2 weeks ago — should she still get a vaccination? Also, neither my husband or I contracted H1N1 from our daughter — should we get a vaccination?
My daughter is pregnant and I want to know if there’s any risk in getting the swine flu vaccine and may it be harmful to her unborn baby? Is there any ingredient such as mercury in the vaccine that poses a possible risk to the baby either while pregnant or after birth? Are there any the long-term effects to the baby with getting a vaccine so new. What would happen if she didn’t get the swine flu shot and got the infection, what risks does that pose to her unborn baby?
I have two sons that the dr. has diagnosed as having h1n1, however, they were never tested for it. Should they get the shot even though they supposidly have already had it?
I have allergies to eggs and other foods. For years I have not taken flu shot as it made me ill for 5 months the last time I had it. With such allergies, I have not been considering the H1N1 shot for fear of same allerigic reaction. What is your opinion please??
